Description

A cd-cover artwork for the recent publication of Anarkosis(friends of mine).

A lot of work put on this image and a lot of ref. I linked some refs.

They are trying to scape from the soldiers tthat are striking the city. But it seems difficult to scape.

Nice idea and dramatic indeed.
I love the foreground of the painting, lighting is very good.

The background could be more detailed and darker (depend on daytime).
My opinion on the blurring the BG is that it's too blur, well a bit.

:) Good textures, lighting and viewpoint
:) The foreground is excellent
:) The mid-ground is quite good
:( The background is pretty poor - what happened? Did you give up?

Craziness

I have to agree with the background refining (or lack thereof) but this is definitely one of the most involved works I've seen here from you (thumbup)

Mmmmmm. Maybe i have to retouch a litlel bit the background in the part of the right helicopter. Another litle touches in the left side. To make the background more consistent. I'm happy with this piece, and yes, Wysiwyg, I also think is my best work here.

Thanks all for your comments ans crits.

I've retouched the bg. It could be more worked, but I like the unfished touch. Maybe not so happy with the central buildings windows.

I actually like the loose brushwork of the background....I think maybe it's slightly at odds with the rest of the picture (which is much tighter) which is why to some it looks 'unfinished'.

Maybe a similar looser style for the foreground would have been better.

Overall tho I think this is pretty cool...

Nice one! maybe bit too busy for my taste but it's nicely painted. Rather nice use of color- maybe could use a bit of tweaking here and there but overall nice work! :)
